I'm considering seeing the cure. should I? as a backup plan i got queens of the stone age. please help me, these two are so different but both have value to me.

I'd choose The Cure, even though I'd believe they are past their peaks.

I'd go with The Cure. I've seen QOTSA a couple of times and they've never blown me away, but I've never seen the Cure and so I'd give them the chance. I like both so I'm basing it purely on that. Plus I guess the Cure tour less. QOTSA come to the UK probably every 2 years.

Yeah, I'll probably go for the cure show, but my friends are pretty lame so they'd only come to the qotsa gig. on the cure gig I'd be alone, but maybe that's a good thing?

excluding my friends playing our student union (and my band playing the union the week after!) the next gig i'm seeing looks like British Sea Power at Koko in London... i might go and see Stars though.

I've got a few lined up for next year:

I Was A Cub Scout

The Von Bondies
And (fingers crossed) The National etc at ATP.

God... I don't have enough money to see any bands this summer. Just let me know how they were and if there are any bootlegs available.

Over easter I'll be seeing Jose Gonzales and hopefully Clinic if I can convince someone to see a band they've never heard of. People aren't very adventurous.

next gig looks like being 'elbow' in april.
