Bimbo's is a great venue...some friends have been trying to get me to SF for that show but I really do have to work and I cannot justify a trip to the SF office that week, just to see the National again!

i'd also like to add that the Explosions in the Sky show i caught earlier this year was at Webster Hall in NYC and that venue is seriously fantastic. woah, what a show. amazing amazing.

Just got tickets for The Hold Steady at Shepherds Bush in a few weeks. Amazingly, it’s not sold out.

Heard that they break into Cheney multiple times in a concert, which sounds pretty funny.

At the moment I dont have anything booked until The National in Nottingham next month! Damn you festival season.

My next gig is Beirut in Dublin on the 23rd if June. Cant wait to see him.

I thought i would have gotten to se him at Primavera in Barcelona, but he was clashing with Band of Horses who i went to see instead and they were fantastic live also.

They sure didn't mind pulverizing my pathetic Pirates recently. Anyway, I have Wilco, seeing them for the first time (in a fantastic venue), on Thursday.

Looks like the next thing for me might be the "SonicMuse Fest" featuring Ted Leo & The Pharmasists, The Hold Steady, Matt and Kim and some good locals. I would of course have to start listening to some Ted Leo and Matt and Kim though.
