Apart from Two Gallants, Glasvegas and Dan Deacon there isn't a lot there I want to see, or know of - does anyone have any reccomendations?
go see Friends of the Bride (kinda like an indie band doing 50s songs - very very catchy) and Spiritualized ( = must). Also Broken Records are probably the best new band in the UK (imagine a Scottish Bright Eyes (maybe less good lyrically) playing with the Arcade Fire).
Also check out Eugene McGuiness and The Most Serene Republic.

Whether you're into this sort of thing or not, Santogold currently has the free track of the week on itunes. I like it. Also I'm a big fan of the new Mystery Jets album, although obviously you've heard of them. My friend who also likes the National like Johnny Flynn and the Sussex Wit, but not really my thing. If I go to the Nottingham one (still deciding), I might see Rollo Tomassi just because I loved LA Confidential, but I've never heard anything by them...

Hercules & Love Affair features Antony Hegarty from Antony & the Johnsons, but I haven't heard them (H&LA).

Lucky you. I just got into spiritualized, and I'm very impressed so far. And today I was listening to random play all on my mp3 player, and I kept checking the name of various broken social scene songs that I had never heard before.. Awesome stuff.

yeah! its the joys of living in London really...
Spiritualized were great, too much off the last record but i'm not going to give it a bad word otherwise. Mostly moments of absolutely genius old songs and heartwrenching/euphoric things off the new record. Enlightening probably describes it best. Encore of I Think I'm In Love and Lord Can You Hear Me = best end of gig high ever.
