- Just curious, have you heard Cold Roses, Jacksonville City Nights, and/or 29? I have to say Easy Tiger wasn't a major disappointment only because I had heard many of the new songs live before the release date. He's writing a new record right now and I bet you it turns out spectacular
I own all four records you've mentioned, and I don't like them (possibly a song or two of each). The last thing he released that I really liked was Love is Hell. Everything before that is pure gold, if you ask me.

The Dismemberment Plane - "Emergency & I"
I often forget how good this band was, but it's always nice to put in one of their albums and remember.

I'm having problems with April...but I guess it's the same problem I have with a lot of Neil Young's music (guitar overkill).

Love Is Hell is the measuring bar for Ryan's music, I feel. But I think the trilogy of 2005 was quite excellent, Cold Roses especially. I am less a fan of Gold and Demolition but Heartbreaker is definitely a classic record.
