It's solid. Need some more listens to fully digest it. What is keeping it from heavier rotation is the new DBT and Whigs albums.

"Suddenly my eyes were so soft and shaky.
Oh, I knew there was pain, but pain is not aching.
Then Richie, Richie said:
'Hey man let's dress up like cops
Think of what we could do!'
But something, something, it said "you better not."
And I fell.
Didja feel low?
Nah.
Huh???
I stood up, walked out the arms of Venus de Milo!"

Just got Vampire Weekend CD - loved it on first hearing but already it feels a little bit thin. Kind of like Pavement without sounding anything like Pavement. Anybody here dig these guys?
I'm also reading a galley of a really excellent forthcoming book, Greetings From Bury Park, about a British Pakistani guy who adores Bruce Springsteen. It's really great and I had to get out Darkness on the Edge of Town and play it. And y'know, I'm real pedantic and I can't believe I never noticed this in 27 years of listening, but in "Badlands," Springsteen rhymes "real" with "real." And he makes it work. Usually something like that will drive me insane and I didn't even notice until now.
I need to lay off the coffee or something.

I have it but having listened to it a few times, the only songs I can see myself coming back to are M79 and I Stand Corrected. The rest of the album is almost filler to me. I feel they've been massively overhyped as the "next Arcade Fire" and I was quite underwhelmed.
