Baby Machine by This Et Al came out officially in 2007, although I got a first edition because I'm cool in 2006. Anyway, it definitely deserves to be up there in an albums of the year poll.

Suprised to see Arcade Fire in so many lists, I thought it was a big let down - but that's just me

03- Dragons - Here Are The Roses
04- DeVotchKa - How It Ends
05- Interpol - Our Love To Admire
06- Of Montreal - Hissing Fauna, Are You The Destroyer?
07- Cold War Kids - Robbers & Cowards
08- Kings Of Leon - Because Of The Times
09- Windmill - Puddle City Racing Lights
10- Band Of Horses - Cease To Begin

Honourable mentions:
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah - Some Loud Thunder
Tegan & Sara - The Con

.... and a whole bunch of other great albums..

Oh and DeVotchKa's album was re-released in Europe this year...

James- 01-05-2008
A lot of the records I've been anticipating are out, now - just the new Radiohead, Beirut and Animal Collective albums to look forward to. Still, the Radiohead album is the seminal release of the year for me, I can't wait for that.

dapple papple- 01-09-2008

10 points for #1 through 1 point for #10.

deadline is 1/15, if anybody wants to update their lists. dunka.

40% of my list made the "master" list. Yeah!

dapple papple- 01-16-2008
^ Haha. 50% for me!

all in all, those 10 albums are certainly representative of common favorites from music fans worldwide and everyone should probably hear them at least once.
