what makes it is the horn arrangements and they way they did them a little differently. i hope to Christ this band dominates the free world with their next record. because they are one of few bands that actually deserve to.

I would really want that too. I'm a huge Springsteen-fan (he's the only one I love more than The National) so hearing The National performing a Springsteen-song would be like Christmas X 2.

He was so nervous about doing so, he went home and watched The West Wing while the other 4 stayed and got hammered with Springsteen. sweet.

Haven't heard them, but since this forum has given me some great advice on some truly great music in the past I'm going to download it and give them a listen.

Though this probably belongs in the Unrelated Sounds section of the forum more than here, I can't help but agree with you. Even though I've got a collection somewhere around 1,000 albums strong covering every genre humanly possible, the National and TV on the Radio haven't left my rotation for more than a day at a time during the last two years! I think my fiancee has had enough of them though. Anyways, since you mentioned these I thought you might be interested in the Kyp Malone interview and solo performances featured at Ma Fama. Maybe later I'll get around to breaking them down and putting them in the Unrelated Sounds section along with some Stars Like Fleas...
