Ok - so this is pretty much the coolest/luckiest thing that's ever happened to me with respect to concert tickets.
I logged onto myspace about 25 minutes ago and saw The National's bulletin for the second Brooklyn show. It's on a saturday during my university's reading week, so I figured I'd treat myself to the show since I've been dying to see the band again.
I logged onto the site, asked for 1 ticket in price level one, and out popped a center seat in row AA - FIRST ROW!
Perfect.
So I obviously put the ticket in "my cart" and go to look for more to see what's available, and the price level one tickets now reads "Unavailable"! I lost my shit!
The last ticket in price level one, front row, and I get it!
So then I go enter in all of my information, and I panic. The system keeps telling me I can only enter in numbers for my zip code, but I live in Canada, soI have a postal code (which has letters as well). I call the venue, where the guy confirmed that this was in fact the last and best seat available in the price level (the next best is like 20th row or something). He asked me to 'release' the ticket so that he could pick it up and sell it to me over the phone. That was probably the most nerve-racking moment I can remember - having to give it up.
Long story short it all worked out and I'll be front row center at The National in Brooklyn.
