Those are also on my list. Them and Michael Clayton. And There Will Be Blood. So much work, so little time...

Just saw Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. I've always loved Tim Burtons movies and this is no exception, which is quite marvelous since I don't care for musicals at all. But then again, Sweeney Todd is much darker than any other musical.

I agree, musicals and I just don't get along. But Sweeney Todd was ok. I watched it with two friends who are big musical fans and what they pointed out was that none of the songs were particularly memorable and I'd have to agree. I think Sacha Baron Cohen stole the show too.

I'm highly recommending 'La Meglio Gioventú' which is an Italian movie, absolutely love it. smile.gif

Saw 'Iron Man' last night, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Well worth watching, not because it has got a great message, but it is a good and exciting time-killer.

Yeah, I'm probably going to end up seeing it just to kill time like you say. I finally got around to watching 300 the other day because my friend pretty much bases his life around it, and that was good for the same reasons.

Has anyone seen 21 and is it worth a watch? I'm a bit of a Kevin Spacey fan, so it must be good, right? Having said that I saw Consenting Adults the other night and it was cringeworthy. Unbelievably he did that just after Glengarry Glen Ross. That's a great film, and has a character that Gill in the Simpsons was based on.

I haven't seen it, but I've heard that it was awful. I also like Kevin Spacey (who can forget American Beauty, K-PAX and The Usual Suspects?), but lately I think he's been going in the wrong direction.

Awesome, someone else who enjoyed K-PAX! I do think that pretty much any other actor would have made a mess of the role of Prot.

I love K-PAX, I've bought/stole and lost it at least 4 times.

...anyone ever seen Waking Life?
I saw it again the other night and remebered what an awesome movie it is.
Lots of food for thought.

I thought that "Waking Life" was a really good movie! Very thought-provoking stuff.
I am a HUGE fan of "Dazed & Confused" and "Before Sunrise"/"Before Sunset", so it was really cool seeing characters from those films in "Waking Life".
Finally got to see Guillermo Del Toro's "The Orphanage" this past weekend. Very good movie, with some seriously creepy scenes in it.
