I'm a dude from Denmark... I heard about The National for the first time for about two months ago.

The only reason why I heard about them is because they are playing the big danish festival Roskilde Festival (www.roskildefestival.dk), it's probably the best festival in Europe. The Festival lasts for 8 days where 100.000 people are getting really drunk every single day, a lot of fun. I know there has been a lot of people from The US and other parts of the world attending Roskilde Festival...

I got carried away talking about Roskilde, sorry... When The National where announced to play at Roskilde Festival, I went to the myspace site straight away. And I wasn't dissapointed, so I bought Alligator, and here I am, and lovin it!!!

Roskilde Festival takes place in about 16 days, so it won't be long before I finally see them, can't wait!!!

My name's Matt and I live on the north side of Chicago. I'm 36 and discovered The National quite by accident. I was perusing the local rag (The Reader) and happened upon a preview of their show with CYHSY. I watched Abel online and was hooked. I've seen them three times.....first at Double Door, then at Pitchfork last summer, and now a few weeks ago.

I root for Tottenham Hotspur (founder and chairman of Tottenham Hotspur Chicago) and the Chicago Bears primarily and love a good Guinness.

I'm Robert, from So Cal, discovered the Nat'l in '05...got wind of them from a site called musiccherry, who had a link to "Available'. After hearing available, i downloaded whatever I could get my hands on. I have since purchased their entire discography.I seen them at the Troubador in Hllywd and can't wait to see them perform the new stuff this year in L.A. and San Diego. See you there. Peace.

I'm here for the obvious: I have a problem and finally got around to face it.
For the past year and a half The National have been in my ears, heart and life; (someone mentioned it around there - Matt's voice) Matt's voice is the problem, but also the lyrics, the drums.
I'm actually unable to put into words what I'm experiencing, just as I'm sure if I ever had the band standing in front of me waiting for me to explain it something like gagagagagaggag would come out.

I am truly proud to join this forum. : )
