The New York-trilogy by Paul Auster is a good one. A bit strange but still brilliant.

My favourite is The Book Of Illusions - Hector Mann is my favourite character in any book I've ever read.

Travels In The Scriptorium is the next Paul Auster book I'm going to read. My friend loves him and has all his books so I just get them from him but I try to read a few other books between each one. I've read three of his books so far, the two mentioned above and also the music of chance which I really loved aswell....did you know they made that book into a film? I keep meaning to try and find it, James Spader is in it.

I was quite surprised to find out myself, I went through a phase of watching lots of Harvey Keitel movies when I was younger and I watched one called 'Smoke' which was a bit strange but in a cool way and it turns out that Paul Auster wrote the screenplay for that aswell.

Im sure that in The Book Of Illusions one of Hector Mann's never seen films is called The Inner Life Of Martin Frost

I see your discussing David Mitchell soon, the book I read just before The Curious Incident With The Dog At Night was Ghostwritten by him, I might be wrong but I think it was his first novel...it was kinda weird and I got bored at times but I enjoyed most of it, I thought interlinking nine stories was a great idea, I like Paul Auster's books and the reason I picked up Ghostwritten was because I read online that he references one of his books.
