I sent an email saying I'd gladly help setting up a screening in Oslo, Norway. Do you guys think beggars are gonna focus on US or do we have a shot over here in europe?

Rockefeller in Oslo has had many previews of films and music dvd's, so I actually checked a couple days ago wheter they had plans for a skin, a night or not.

You don't happen to have some inside contacts that maybe would be able to help hook this thing up? Im new in town (moved in a week ago) so I havn't even been to the place... But I think I've heard of it - it might be too big för this release?

Well Rockefeller is part of a network of places that basically do the majority of the concerts in Oslo. They have venues of all types and sizes. At the main stage Rockefeller the national played when they came here in December. I also saw a preview of the Sigur Rós dvd at that place.

Sadly though I don't have any contacts.. And isn't it maybe a little too late to organise something like this when the dvd is out in only 9 days?

I've had a conversation with a Claire at Beggars... She said she'd send me some dvd's if I found a place to show it... She said most screenings are placed in bars, and this sounds appropriate.
I guess my best bet is to go around to bars with tv's, asking if they will let me play it.
I don't really think The National has such a big fanbase here in Oslo, but hopefully there will be enough of us to keep a small bar from shutting the TV off.

Sounds good, I don't know much about age limits in bars and stuff, but I would want to be there at least.
Or how strict would they be about this, could we like arrange a very personal screening? At someones home or something?

I guess that could work, as long as we make it at least a little "public"...
